Step 1: Register and Apply Online

In order to apply for a study visa or permit, students will need to first complete the Peel Schools for International Students registration form. Click the ‘APPLY NOW’ button to register today to become part of the World Life Education Centre for International Students family.

Step 2: Submit Your Payment

The recommended payment process for International Students to pay their tuition and fees from outside of Canada is through ______________ for students. We recommend international students to make a payment using the international payments button. But if you are an international student who has landed in Canada please use the pay in Canadian Dollars button. Local Students can do the same. You also have an option to contact admin@worldlifeedu.ca and request for any other payment option that you are satisfied with.

Please do not make a payment until you have submitted an application and received an invoice.

Simply follow these 5 easy steps to make a payment:

  1. Enter your information on the GlobalPay for Students home page.
  2. Enter your payment amount in Canadian dollars.
  3. Select the currency you would like to pay in
  4. Enter the details of the person making the payment and print your payment instructions.
  5. Complete your payment at your bank or via online banking using the printed instructions.

Step 3: Apply for a Study Visa or Permit

Submit your visa and/or study permit application, including the acceptance letter and receipt, as well as other supporting documents as per the study permit application requirements.

Once you receive your study permit, book your flight to Toronto, Canada–and make sure to contact us or inform your agent when you will be arriving. You should arrive two weeks prior to the start of term.

Step 4: Pre-Departure Preparation

Contact us for our Pre-departure, Travel and Arrival Guide. Very important information regarding regulations and requirements for you. Once a Study Permit is granted, the student must prepare to arrive in Toronto at least one week prior to the commencement of classes.

Please carefully review the registration package provided to you.

Students must arrive prepared with the following:

  • Letter of acceptance and receipt of payment of fees
  • Your original valid study permit
  • PassportImmunization/vaccination record and give a copy to the
    school. For vaccine, information go to the Region of Peel website.
  • Most recent school report card/transcript
  • Custodianship information – All students must have a guardian, regardless of their age.
  • The following immunizations are required by all students attending schools in Canada. Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Diphtheria, Pertussis (whooping cough), Tetanus, Polio, Meningococcal disease, Varicella (chicken pox) for students born on or after January 1, 2010.

Step 5: Arrival in Canada

Once you arrive in Canada, you will be picked up at the airport and brought to your Homestay location. Make sure you follow all the regulations in the Pre-Departure, Travel and Arrival Guide.

Please email us at admin@worldlifeedu.ca to let us know of your itinerary so that WLEC’s representative can pick you up. Depending on the situation, all international students will participate in a day-long orientation, led by an Ontario teacher, where they will get a tour of the school, meet other international students and be paired up with a Canadian student mentor. Students will also receive the class timetable during orientation.

Study Permit

What You Will Need

In order to come to Canada as a student, you will first need to obtain your study permit. As such, you will need to also satisfy an officer that you are a bona fide temporary resident, meaning:

  • You have strong ties to your home country and will not remain in Canada beyond your authorized period of stay.
  • You have enough funds to support yourself while you are in Canada;
  • Your status in Canada is that of a visitor.
  • You intend to exit from Canada once your stay is over.
  • You must have been accepted by a designated learning institution in Canada.
  • You must prove that you have enough money to pay for your:
    • Tuition fees
    • Living expenses for yourself and any family members who come with you to Canada and
    • Return transportation for yourself and any family members who come with you to Canada.
  • You must be a law-abiding citizen with no criminal record and not be a risk to the security of Canada. You may have to provide a police certificate.
  • You must be in good health and willing to complete a medical examination, if necessary.
  • You must satisfy an immigration officer that you will leave Canada at the end of your authorized stay.
  • You will need to demonstrate these above requirements in addition to meeting the requirements of a study permit.
